[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This image was shot near a great alley, in which I thought it would be great to shoot in this incredibly thick fog. It didn't take me long to discover these trees sticking out of the ice and finding them much more interesting.

PP: Frankly, a lot of cleaning and then some more cleaning, cropping, vignette mask, levels, clarify +1,0 and last but not the least the mysterious IR-filter in PSP.

Very neat moody shot.

lovely lines created here from the trees and fence posts, the shadows on the ice look great, the mist is perfect for this shot, adding a lot of mystery to the whole composition!

Hello Johan,
Very well composed picture!
It's like a spooky representation of the passageway between worlds. In the mythology of many cultures the realms of the afterlife are separated by water from our world. The ghostly reflections of the trees and the "mysterious IR-filter" are amplifying the feeling of "transition".

Hi Johan,

Fantastic use of light, just exceptional. The slight shadows/reflections running across the water looks beautiful, especially with those soft gray tones rather than a true black. I like this final effect, looks good. Nice framing and over-all composition, black and white is looking real nice here.

Hi Johan,
You have created a very eery mood here I think. I guess that's down to the I/R effect, perhaps some kind of diffuse glow too? I guess this is proof that you can have a good image without too much sharpness.
