[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I wanted use the starry night sky in some way here, but not being the only thing to look at, since I didn't have the time to something really interesting with it, i.e. star trails. So I worked with this peculiar figure for a while.

I wanted the figure in the foreground to be slightly out of focus in order to get it a bit more abstract. The only post-processing I've done is some cropping.

Very interesting experiment, Johan. A good composition but I would suggest that it would be even better if you had not anchored the object in the left corner (someone told a while ago that you should not do it and I tried and it does work!). Your choice of DOF is good and I like the blue & red light on the object. The dark blue sky and the stars are a bonus. Well done!
