Hi Ewe, really interesting and eye-catching shot you've got here, I really love how you used partial desaturation to allow a connection between the eyes and the patterned veil or cloth at the lower third of the shot. I really love how the colors that show are subdued and on the cool side, it makes the shot unique and creates a whole mood. The eyes are very expressive and real that way. Excellent focus and detail on the veil and hand, you can see all the textures on them perfectly. The bright tones on the face makes everything else pop out, but just be careful about letting the left cheek and the nose get too bright, because they are getting overexposed and losing tonality. Really wonderful tight vertical framing and close-up, straight-forward point of view that creates an excellent balance between the eyes, the veil, and the hand cropped in the corner. I would really love to see the eyes fully in-focus, although I know it's tough, especially if this is a self-portrait, because it's hard to tell if the camera focused on the eyes or not. Really awesome concept though with striking results. You're really creative! Thanks for sharing!

Hej Ewe,

A beautiful hybrid portrait with an immense expressive gesture. Composition in monochrome with emphesis on eyes by desaturation is enhancing the mood. Fine photography, well done.

Thanks for sharing this beautiful image.
