Hi,

My contribution for Friday's theme.

I have lots of suitable images in my folders, but I felt this one qualified on two levels, the subdued reflection of the brilliant colours of the sunset in the lake, and the aged tree standing at the water's edge, signifying countless similar evenings, unseen by humans, in wilderness.

It was a very peaceful evening, and one upon which you could not fail to appreciate life and how lucky we are to exist on such a wonderful planet. Truly stunning!

Hi John,
I'm curious about the reflections of the tree...did you do it with pp? The reflections don't seem to match the tree!!
The colors are amazing such as the composition. Very good sharpness.

A wonderful shot here, would make an excellent modern style print with a large border, excellent colour and the added forground interest with the tree makes this a really nice peaceful and yet warm capture

Mmm, John, I like this on a meditative level.
The eyes want to linger over over the reflected colours in the water and consider the single, stark tree standing guardian over the whole!
