[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Lakeside Mariefred is a small and very pretty little village that draws visitors to its impressive castle ,Gripsholm Slott. Built originally in the 1370s it passed into crown hands by the early 15th century.In 1526 Gustav Vasa took over and ordered the demolition of the adjacent monastery. A new castle was built using materials from the monastery but extensions,conversions and repairs continued for years. The castle was last restored in the 1890s.It is a wonderful sight, the epitome of castles with its round towers drawbridge and gardens. One of my favorite castles in Sweden !
I was up early that day , a cool morning i recall about 6 am i stared to make photos of the building in a rather strong and direct light,certainly enjoyed the scene before my eyes very much. Made some PP adjustments in highlights and shadows areas, saturation and sharpening ,frame.

So we have both a castle posted today :-)
Stunning light the warm coloures are enhanced by the early morning light. A fine composition too, the duct on the foreground, the reflection on the water: all perfect!

Hi Carol
The place and the castle is so beautiful....I can hear the sound of the cool breeze and the noise of the DUCKS (QUAK QUAK). the strong and direct light made the colors more bright n lovely and very old but well maintained castle.

L'eclat du soleil sur ces edifices et le reflet est d'une beaute incroyable. Les petits canards en silhouettes ajoute un beau cachet a cette tres joli capture.

très belle carte postale, j'aime beaucoup c'est canards qui viennent troubler le reflet de chateau. La lumière est splendide et donne des couleurs très chaudes. Mais déjà on voit l'ombre de l'arbre s'allonger sur le mur, nous indiquant, soit qu'il est tard :-), soit que la saison bientôt se termine et laissera place à l'hiver...
