[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hi,
Taken earlier in the month on a sad visit to Sweden to attend a family funeral. Beautiful Lake Vanern on a sombre grey day, the light came out for a split second. Seemed to sum up the mood.
New camera, new PP software (PS CS 2) still trying to get my head around everything, hence the break in posting. Hope you like the shot.
Scene very much as shot. Taken in RAW, ISO 250, convert to Jpeg, 1 layer desaturated, merged, sharpened, posted.

Very nice landscape, apparently cold but has something familiar to me... I see picture a bit tilted but the slight desaturation and the blurred background are very suitable. Regards, Marta

Hi John! First rule of thumb, above all else IMO is the horizon line MUST be straight, or all bets are off....with exceptions of dramatic angle shots. This is a super nice shot, so I will do a workshop for you!
