[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hi,

Fifth posting from Scandanavia, this is the view from our cottage across Lake Askesjon, taken at about the same time as yesterdays post.

Another reflective shot, showing the stillness of the lake on a breathless morning.

The building is a papermill, a factory which uses lots of wood and water, so it is no suprise really to find one by a lake in this part of Sweden, as there is a plentyful supply of both!!!

I love the deep red hues of the corrogated iron roof of this building, which complements the red painted walls of the house behind the mill. Most houses in Sweden are painted in this distinctive red paint which is a preservative to protect the wooden structures. The red hues also complement the deep greens of the trees surrounding these buildings. And as you can see there is an almost perfect reflection in the water of the lake.

I've cropped slightly from the bottom to remove a branch that was in the fg, adjusted levels, sharpened, resized and posted.

Thanks for visiting and take care,

John

Hi Johnny,
This is a great view. Love the reflection and crisp details. Nice lighting, TFS Julie

Hi John,
good photographic/picture quality as usual from you John.
Very good reflections.
Personally I would have liked if the papermill building was a bit more off-centre.

Still, a sweet shot.
Best regards, Daniel
