On our trip to Norway and Sweden I had a set number of things I had to see and PHOTOGRAPH..
this barn was not one of them!
But while walking back from the Järsberg Runestone (which was on my list)I saw this barn and figured it look intresting with missing doors and a window just hanging on its hindge.. Also how this could be a winter shot from just about any cold region!
Again we did not see the sun for the week we where in Sweden the only time we did see it was when we flew out on Friday afternoon...
So many times on this trip we where asked why we where visiting in the winter! I'd love to go back in the spring/summer but this was a company trip for my husband and I'm was happy enough to tag along anytime of the year |

Good grief, looks like Pennsylvania! It's a small world isn't it Tricia? Excellent shot, love the road as it goes across. Nice red barn, so American! B-)

Tricia, let me tell you... you will NOT regret going up to Scandinavia in summer!!! It will absolutely be gorgeous!
My hubby and I have been to Norway and Sweden 10 times now and next summer we will be there again!!! we just cannot get enough of it, specially Norway!
I must say that this is a very typical Swedish view, although I have not seen it in winter (yet).
Love the lack of color here coz it emphasizes the winter feel.
Good composition.
Cheers,
Anneke
Hi Tricia,
I would have expected snow in all of your photos, not rain! Anyway, I like how you have included the road to the right side of the barn. Also, the barn itself is interesting.
thanks for sharing, lisa
