Hallo Per.
I compared the original in the workshop with what you did with it.
I like what you did.
The original may be the more realistic one, but we all want to add a little of our own fantasy and "look of life" to what we create.
Well done!!
Groet,
Joop.

Okay Per, I'll say the negative stuff first. I know how much you like frames, but I think one is just a little too heavy for the scene. The softening a bit to mushy for my taste, but only my opinion. I really like the lonely narrow stree in the scene and the composition. I did a workshop to suggest a different method of achieving some colour. You may not like it, not sure, but don't be afraid to say so. The method I used concentrated on using a High Radius in the Unsharpmask section. Percentages are 73/99.1/0, then saturation at 18%. This method is not to improve your idea, but rather a different way of achieving some colour in a new way.

I like the perspective, and the way the road leads the eye into the distance with the high buildings either side. The colours are nice and muted throughout, with some nice warmth from the browns and beige colours. I don't care too much for the frame, but that is a personal choice, I suppose.

The frame is a bit overdone, Per. Nice PP work you used on the original, but I think Diana's is even better. I like the ice on the pavement, it looks like a glacier. I also like the neon-blue & red on top of the ice.
TFS.

...a not so grey shot! :) I don't know about the frame...all right, personally, I wouldn't go for it, but then, it's so static that it makes the photo look like a step-in shot, or a video-still. Bit out of focus, but it's charming alltogether :)
Best greetz,
Nathalie

Really great processing... and no I prefer the "fake" version of this... the frame adds such a great touch to the pic! Well done on this
