This looks like an old masters painting Hans! I love the sharpness here, even the details of the birds is super nice! I would love to visit here one day..where is the Matterhorn? A beautiful place, love the orange evening light!

It is indeed a scene to enjoy a nice glass of wine over, Mr. GB. I am glad I took the time to stop by before calling it a night. Love the colour and the fine detail. Perfect positioning to make this composition so wonderful. Excellent.

Greetings Hans,better than a post card,I like your angle for this composition, gives us the viewer a good feel for this city.I like how you have captured the light.Though I would prefer sipping a wine overlooking this view,I would imagine that their coffee & desserts, would be just as inviting.

Honestly I could not see the gulls in the thumbnail, yet here they are on the page, so many numbers of them and making the sky over the city a lovely scene with such a good sunny day. Very pleasant view of the waterfront with boats and busy area from this POV.

What a delicious light on the facades of the buildings along the lake! Good opened perspective beyond the bridge.
As others said, this would be an beautiful painting!

This is a pleasant scene Hans - just like a postcard.
Nice lighting and colours - the sun seems to be low in the sky.

even from up there your flock of birds are very clear.. i tried my other camera still i cannot capture the flocks without out of focus and blurred..

Zurich, nooit echt geweest, ziet er prima uit.

Is de shilling al betaalbaar nu wij euro's hebben ?
Awel de glazen bier zijn er dan ook groter dan in Holland.

This view is very familiar for me, we often go in Zürich and walk here, enjoying the river sides. This image looks beautiful in warm light and having these seagulls on the sky, great colors and clarty. TFS

prachtige foto van deze mooie stad. heb je nog een wandeltochtje gemaakt door het park vlak bij het station. Dan is Zurich in een keer een stuk minder.
De meeuwen vullen de compositie erg mooi. Het leuke van dit soort foto's is dat er zoveel te zien is en toch is de foto niet te druk. Het late licht geeft alles een mooie warme tint en perfect belichting.

Heel mooi, rustig en moody stadsbeeld, Hans. Een goede compo laat stad, rivier en vooral ook die mooie blauwe lucht zien van hun beste kant, de meeuwen horen er gewoon bij. Als die eskadrille begint te bombarderen ben je beter niet in de buurt!
Toevallig is de foto nu naar boven gescrollt in m'n browser, tot net onder de meeuwen. Dat geeft een panoramisch zicht en da's ook best aardig. Moet je zelf 's proberen en zien wat je er zo van vindt...
