This photograph was taken in the city of Basel, northwestern part of Switzerland.

Here a bit of hsitory of Basel:
The first setlements in Basel date from 1st century BC. But a settlement had existed even earlier, in Celtic times. Basel first received a mention in Roman history in 374 AD; about 450, the Alemanni arrived. At the end of the 5th century Basel came into Frankish possession, then in 912 it passed to Burgundy, and in 1032 went with the latter to become part of the German Empire.In the 14th century, Basel liberated itself from its episcopal overlords.
The Great Council of Christendom, held in the city from 1431 to 1448, brought the city to world attention. One of the results was the founding of Basel's university, ceremonially opened in 1460. In 1501, Basel joined the Swiss confederation.

This photo was taken very early morning, when the morning lights were still nice.
The bridge is called the "Mittleri Brugg". I have a "sister" photo of this one in my TE gallery, but I decided that this one should go here.

Bright, colourfull and simple subject. Good POV and very appealing. The tilt on a white background gives a lot more luminence. Good work and TFS - Sam
