[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
When I go around the world, traveling I like to pay attention in details. Besides pictures of big buildings, extraordinary nature and interesting points of view, I like to go around searching for beautiful small things to register. The world is also made of tiny details that most of the times pass through our eyes unattended.
Among my favorite places to visit are churches or temples. In my opinion, churches and temples house an impressive colection of bauatiful and picturesque scenes, both inside and outside.
This photograph pctures in some detail, the door of the Cathedral in Basel (Basel Munster). The Muster is a Gothic building dating from the 12th century. The photo shows a stone carving representing the judgement of St Gallen. It's located above the portal closing the north arm.

Work: Change to B&W, adjust brightness/contrast, try a bit to adjust perspective, USM.

Oops, we missed each other... just a fortnight later,I'd been there, too ;-) but no pics...
Well you do Stef, paying attention in details. This small crop of the munster shows it in a nice way. Lovely details and structures, presented in great lights. Tonal range of the b&w is good, even in the shadows (or does it depend on my monitor?)
Keep on shooting. I'm curious on your shots of the capitals ;-)

Grandes detalhes desta obra de arte!A foto está muito boa o pretpo e branco ficou muito bom.Fazes muito bem ter em atenção a todos os detalhes,pois normalmente é nos pequenos detalhes que se descobrem grandes coisas.

I like the photo, but I think you cropped it too closely. I would have kept the outer parts of the curves as well.

Your choice of B&W is very appropriate - it makes the details and sharpness stand out. The cropping is well thought out, and created a very good composition. More of the curves would mean less detail. Nice shot and TFS .... Sam
