Cahteau-d'Oex

Situated at around 1000 meters in altitude, half-way between the classy resort of Gstaad in the Bernese Oberland and the small town of Gruyères, in the canton of Fribourg.

Chateau-d'Oex is home to 70 cheese makers, who produced around 350 tones of the dairy food per year, for which Switzerland is famous.

Hi Tsilla
Original composition and good Swiss elements including the bells and the traditional wooden rail. The color of the parasols add a gay element to the composition. There is much noise on the bells and on the wall though.
Serge

Nice layers of textures and colour through your image, creates a pleasing effect.

I like your presentation with the spiral giving us a taste of Switzerland with the bells and bannisters.
The parasol adding a touch of gaiety to the composition which is well done.
Dot

Hi Tsilla,

Those are all big cowbells hanging there!
Lovely how the bright yellow parasols reflect in the window.

The sunlight created overexposure on the parasols (white patches) - you can correct this by using the clonestamp of PhotoFiltre, set it on 20% opacity and small radius, then click on the yellow while keeping Ctrl. pressed in and then click on the white and "paint" until satisfied.

Hi Tsilla, quite an interesting balcony, because of the red tablecloths, parts of the wooden railing appear as though they were half filled wine glasses, but what caught my eye were the many bells along the wall, did they have a particular meaning or were they just for ambience?I wished they were slightly more detailed. The sun umbrellas are slightly overexposed but their reflections behind the laced curtains are well detailed & sharp.
