[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I'm not sure why I was awake but after going from LA to Frankfurt earlier today. I finished my trip to Milano but managed to snap this photo not far from Zermatt. I put the focus on infinity with a 500th second shutter and came up with this. I was lucky I had a clear window on the plane. 30 seconds later the clouds covered the Alps.

Moria must be there:-). The mountains remaind me on Lord Of The Rings.
It is a good shot from aeroplane. I like the contrast between shadows.

Amazing shot especially from a plane. love the composition very monochromatic. Nice sharp crisp image. Well done.

Very good shot.Nice clouds on the top of the picture, excellent details.Congratulations

Excellent picture !! Generally it is very difficult to have something so clear and sharp, crispy when taken through an aircraft window. I know that by experience, have travelled a lot on airplanes.
You benefitted from an exceptional situation and I am glad you grabbed that opportunity.

I presume that picture was taken in the early morning ?

An amazing sight David. So beuitfull and moody. A rare sight to see. Glas you were awake to tak ethis picture.

Very nice aerial shot. The tonal range adds of lot of depth and interest. Clarity and details are top notch. TFS.

You are really lucky to find a clear and clean window in a plane. Have you tried making this in B&W also? Very nice!

This is a great view of the mountains. A very good sharp shot considering you were in a plane. Excellent work.

it's gorgeous. it almost even looks unreal because our mind perceives mountains as a huge landscape but you captured them at a great angle, from a point some people never see them from. my comment makes no sense, i can't explain what i mean so i'll just say congrats on a really good job well done.
