Here's one of my first photos taken with my new NIKON D300.
I placed my camera at water level, although I have not yet secured ... But the stage and the colors were so beautiful that I could not let pass it!
Photo taken at Lake Neuchatel in the late afternoon on the side of St. Blaise |

Nice picture of such a beautiful swan!
If you dont mind, I would suggest you do a couple of minor changes there. First I guess you might bring some more detail from the sky, maybe pulling the contrast down on it, or something like that. Second and more important, crop it again so that you have your horizon really horizontal. I get this weird sensation the lake will leak towards the left like this, or that the swan is going uphill on the lake´s water!
Very fine image otherwise!

Hi Nicolas,
The composition is very beautiful, peaceful and delicate and the swan is so patiently observing you!
To the swan a bit closer to the viewer as well as to straighten the horizon, I did a WS and hope you don't mind.
