[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
While walking through the Marché de Lausanne on a rainy and windy Saturday, we spotted this unhappy-looking flower seller who was huddled up against the damp weather. Even his flowers look depressed.

The man's hunched and rumpled appearance contrasted sharply with that of the dry and nattily-dressed mannequins standing safely behind the window of the posh clothing store. How many flowers would this man have to sell, on how many cold and rainy days, to be able to walk into the clothing store behind him and buy a suit worn by one of these mannequins?

The man's face is obscured and the mannequins have no faces. Any of them (the man or the mannequins) could be any of us. Only a thin, fragile and invisible barrier separates us from a life that is very different than the one we have.

An image of great contrasts Sandy. Even showing it in B&W shows them up.
It is a sad picture. The smartly dressed mannequins and the poor flower seller. Him so cold and them so sheltered.
Good shot though

Hi Sandy,

WoW! Love this shot! Great eye! Perfect!

Congratulations,
Romeu

Bonjour,
Bonne idée que de présenter cette photo en noir et blanc. Le contraste entre les mannequins et le personnage est intéressant.
Bonne journée.

Hi Sandy,
Fantastic approach to the «clothes theme». Very simple and effective, and a great photo. Very well done. Congrats, mb

Sandy,

Awesome shot!

Thought provoking note!

The black and white even adds more mystery to the photo. The world is either black or white.

Your composition is terrific with the curves in the cobblestones, the contrast in postures, etc.

Super addition to the theme! Bravo Lisa

Hi Sandy..I like this shot...artistic and unusual..nicely composed.

This is really nice Sandy! Love the BW treatment on this one! The dude on the scooter makes this shot interesting! Nice contrasts! Looks like a little clarification was added, which really adds something to pics IMHO!
Nice work!

Hi Sandy.Fantastic idea and great work..Regards Jozef...

Hello Sandy

Absolutely superb! fantastic contrast in the clothing here and I love the use of greyscale it sets the scene perfectly and I think colour would have been way to distracting for this shot

TFS and for joining in the theme
