[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Taken inside the Cathedral Notre-Dame de Lausanne. I promised to post another symmetrical shot from there, so here it is.

The pipe organ of this cathedral was installed in 2003 and is the only American-built pipe organ in a European cathedral. At 7,000 pipes, it is the second largest organ in Switzerland and its sound is admired for its incredible power and unique harmonics. It cost approximately 5 million Swissfrancs (about 4.2 million U.S. dollars at the time), making it one of the most expensive instruments in the world.

Notice the stained glass windows above and below the organ loft. I posted a close-up shot of the upper window earlier this week.

Beautiful study in symmetry, nice colors and this shot really pops out on the thumbnail! What color! And I can almost hear the sound this thing must make against the stone walls!

Hi Sandy,
A wider view of your previous posted "The Second Choice" that showing a lot more about the place, again in a very good symmetrical composition. I do agree with Linda that this shot really pops out on its thumbnail.
Regards,
Ramdan.

Hi Sandy...

The study of symmetry at its finest here! This is so neat with the organ pipes. I can only imagine the sound!!

Great photo with a lot of interesting repetition, and mirror imaging. Lighting illuminates the photo perfectly. Lisa

Hi Sandy,

looks like a resolution test chart for the number of lines here. =)
lovely architecture by the way.

Hi Sandy

I absolutely love this shot, as you rightly point out the symmetry is superb but for me the differing lighting and the textures in the glass of the windows, the stone walls and the metallic pipes are just superb. Lovely posting

TFS kind regards Helen
