An imposing thunderhead appears over the mountains above the town of Montreux. A "thunderhead" is a nickname for a cumulonimbus cloud formation that is typically seen in association with storms or heavy weather.

Hello Sandy,

This is excellent, very well exposed!
Fine details in this impressive cloud formation,
the view is well framed with a great 3-D feeling in the subject...

Greetings,
Pablo -

Yeah this is a great cloudscape image! You handled the brightness and contrast superbly! No OE in the impressive clouds. Maybe a tad to less land, but the clouds are huge. Great posting!
Hans

Beautiful cloud formation Sandy.
Wonderful clarity and detail,
A magical sight!

Hello Sandy.
Interesting capture but I have to say that it's not that complete. The houses are sort of 'cut off', maybe if you added some more of them it would be better. This picture just doesn't feel right.
Almost looks a bit like a 'point-and-shoot' picture.
Sorry for being so negative...! Brightness and contrast are excellent.

This has to be without a doubt the most impresseive capture of a cloud formation I have seen. Nicely shot with the rooftops showing to give an idea of perpective. Absolutely fantastic, well done

Hi Sandy,

This is an awesome group of clouds. I like how you have the town showing also as it really adds a nice touch to the imposing storm. I must say this is one of the best cloud shots I've ever seen!! Three Smiles!! :)))
