[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
In Ukraine we visited an orphanage. It was a house not only for children whose parents died, but also for children whose parents did not or could not take care of them anymore. Approximately 120 children live in this house.

We visited the house for about two hours, and in those hours we had all the children surrounding us. They were looking so happy that we were there, even though we did not even know them! They hugged us and clinged to us and showed us all around the place. When we left, they asked: are you coming back next week?

I was so impressed by the looks on their faces. This girl, Osjana, smiled but in her smile I saw so much more. I had a feeling that she was crying inside, but did not want to show that to us. She wanted to look like a big girl, but at the same time she couldn't hide her missing love and attention. She has a place in my heart forever. She humbles me.

Very beautiful portrait, with a light and a contrast very soft. This offset composition is ideally suited to this image.

A very good job,
Thx for sharing.

More than Beautiful.

Beautiful portrait.
Impressive, especially when you realize that no father and no mother can take care of her.

Hallo Mariet.
Lovely portrait of this young innocent little girl.
Sure with a little help she will survive in life.
Most of that kids are strong.
I wish her all the best.
