[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
In Rivne, Ukraine we visited an orphanage. It was a house not only for children whose parents died, but also for children whose parents did not or could not take care of them anymore. Approximately 120 children live in this house.

We visited the house for about two hours, and in those hours we had all the children surrounding us. They hugged us and clinged to us and showed us all around the place.

This girl showed us her bed. It's nearly all she has.

Hello Marcel. I think that this is a picture that tells a story. The bare walls, the ill-fitting clothes, the non-commital expression and pose, the sagging bed - they all give a feeling of sadness that also comes through in your note.

Normally i would not go for such a central composition, but i think here it works well. This is an image that tells a story.

destitution almost complete and willed by you in the presentation of this photograph. There doesn't appear to have a touch of humanity in that orphanage, and hope ... not in the eyes of this child in all cases. Hard future!
Thank you for this testimony makes us down to earth and think that life isn't always a gift.
Great adjustment of the POV, especially shades that accentuate the desired effect on you.
