And now for something completely different...

If I am honest, I'm not sure what I think of this myself so I thought I'd post it to see what the reaction is like!

Do you like it???

This is your second picture of a cat and you have exceeded your quota. This will undoubtedly be deleted by the Site Moderator.
I'll be blunt. "Here's a picture of my cat" is not at all my cup of tea unless it is really creative. Has to be a visual stunner to pass muster. It's what beginners do. It's what people shoot when they can't think of anything else. It's what people shoot because they love the cat so much that everyone else in the world must also think it's fantastic. They crop up every day in varying degrees of creativity, mostly none at all.
So, I was quite disappointed to see a cat snap from you.
However, you have made every attempt to create something from the original and, I suppose, it's much better than the bulk that I stumble across. Still not for me at all but there are LOTS of cat-ladies out there (and men, I'm positive) that will heap praise upon you.
Compare this with your poppies ... or your moon thing.
Manila decided to award you full score for effort but trust that you will increase the dosage of the medication.

Well i disagree with Kit! That true it's easy to show cats or flowers even kids... So what! If they are presented in original way.. Who care! Even if they are subject for beginners it doesn't mean it's impossible to be original.

Here we talk more about some abstraction. Just a little blur but i like the effect on it :) It look like a feeling of curiosity... Hummm? What is suddenly that big thing in front of my face...

To answer your question... Yes i like it :)

Hi Caroline,
About the 'cat' thing.
Even tho I have 2 of them, I agree with Kit. I am not a fan of pet pics. To be honest it has to be a different cat photo to cut the mustard with me. BUT I do think this is different and it has caught my attention. So ... well done.
But either way, as photographers with the honour of being able to see and critique other peoples work we should also be able to see beyond the content, and comment on other important things such as composition, lighting and technical skill. Therefore I shall get over the 'cat' thing and see this for what it is - a good piece of experimental work, technically handled very well with excellent composition.
So, big smiley from me.
Meow
