[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Took this photo in black and white rather than desaturating in Photoshop just to see how it would come out.I quite liked it eventually!

I wanted to create a sort of sepia feel, but wasn't sure the best way to go about it. Here's what I did;

-Used curves to bring the contrast up a bit
-Used selective colour to try and make it look a bit sepia by raising the yellows and magentas in the blacks, neutrals and whites
-Used selective colour to try and make the whites stand out a bit more
-Having done that, cloned out a bit of white skirting board which was behind the guitar, as it had started to distort
-Unsharp masked it to get some more definition on the strings
-Dodged the fret markers a bit to make them stand out a bit more. In fact I cloned the top one and pasted it over the bottom one, as it was fairly plain, whereas the top one has that little bit of shading. I stuck it onto a new layer and rotated it 180 degrees so they wouldn't both look exactly the same
-Played with curves a bit to try and get it just right

And I think that was about it! Hope you guys like. If anyone is interested I'll post the original photo as a workshop?

super sharp..and those strings look like either thomastic jazz rounds or ernies super slinkys
