Welcome to TL Simon, you've made a very good entrance!
I like this a lot so cannot really fault it. Good lighting and DOF, the focus on the pen is spot on and sharp.
One point, plain (unruled) paper would have made a vast difference to the composition, but as it was taken as you worked you can be forgiven ;) ;)

Good effort here. Nice composition and spot on dof. It's just a nice subject with a fairly modern twist. I might try cropping some off the l-h-s, but otherwise well done. Regards, TW
