[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Taken whilst strolling around the Dorney waterfowl park late yesterday evening.

The late setting sun was casting a golden glow on the larger of the lakes and surroundng light. I saw two swimmers and noticed they were swimming directly towards a bridge spanning the lake.

I got myself onto the bridge, set the camera / monpod combination up and sort of predicted where i "thought" he'd be at the moment of shooting.

I then set to manual focus to stop the camrea hunting across the ripples (Besides, i find autofocus on water is very hit and miss anyway, especially using a TC which slows the autofocus down dramatically) then just waited.
Just as he got into frame, i fired a burst of 5 shots and this is the result. Coming up for air, i managed to get exactly what i'd hoped for.

Not sure if the swimmers were practising for the South Africa swimming Marathon 2009, or if that event's already taken place, but his cap advertises the event.

70-200mm with 2x TC attached.
Shutter priority, and slow shutter speed used to show blur/motion of both the swimmer's arm and water.
White Balance set to custom (Kelvin)
