[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Red ruffed lemuts warn each other of danger using different alarm calls for different threats such as snakes and eagles.

Fruit make up 75% of their diet. In the rainforest, the trees do not bear fruit all at the same time, so their day is spent moving through the forest looking for the ripest fruit.

Red ruffed lemurs are critically endangered due to forest destruction, hunting and the pet trade.

Superbe bête mais tres inquiétante
Nice shot taken in a perfect decisive moment

Kasai,

This is the stuff of nightmares... What a hideous looking animal; good thing they are herbivores.

Thanks,
MP
