Waterfall in art

Took this shot in Bristol at the docks were a staircase shaped waterfall was created. Took some shots whit a relative low (1/13) sutter speed and high f-stop (f/36). Used the railing along the stair as support in stead of a tripod.

HPP: increased contrast with 85% and decreased brightness with 50%. Decreased saturation (-25%) adjusted highlights (+30%) resized and add frame.

The exif file got lost due the frame, so I added it to the note:

Great sharpness here neighbour! and very nice colors in the steps too. in fact... it's a very simple image, but due to the tilting and the "action" in the water, I think it's nice and interesting..... a cool pic on a hot day!

Cheers,
Anneke

hi hans, neat shot, good tight composition, nice lines, i would prefer 1 to 4 second exposure however due to the fact you did not have a tripod this worked out very well and was a great idea against the railing, nice shot, hope all is well,
tfs,
scott

ps have you ever heard of the abbotsford air show? just curious

Salut Hans.

Hi Hans,
Superb image!
The colors are as much fluid than the water. I like the repetitive diagonal cascades and their silky effect. This composes a graphical image really pleasant and relaxing to see!
Very nicely done! Annie

I've been studying water-movement shots lately, and I must say I am most impressed by this. I will make this picture my 'future goal' :) TFS

hi hans
well shot good contrast between the orange tiles and the water,I think if you had used a lower speed it may have ruined the shot.
regards
jimmy

hi bro.
i like the pov. the diagonal has been a good choice for your composition.

the water isn't too soft but you still get the feeling of movement.
good frame, also.

Hi Hans, Good strong diagonals and the flowing water over interesting coloured base makes this a good image. Well seen and presented. TFS. Murray.
