[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Another of the Duxford spitfires, taken at the warbirds airshow.

This is a very similar shot to the image "Looking For Prey" uploaded a few weeks ago. However, not only is it an altogether sharper image, but I took on Rew's tempting challenge for this shot.
He suggested a cinematic frame and an aspect ratio crop.

Fully desaturated, slight sepia toning and cropped to remove all unwanted space.
I then added the film strip border in CS4.

Exif data shows camera settings.

Great shot Martin, the toning works well - not too sure that the 35mm slide frame and Ecto 160 was around in the 1940's ;-).

I like this nostalgic looking shot the sepia effect is very good the clarity is excellent a nice touch great pov and dof well done,

Did you time travel?? This is simply superb. Where were you with the camera for the shot. It almost looks as if you were in another aircraft that was flying parallel.

Hi Martin,
a great shot of the spitfire, it looks as if you were flying alongside. I like the desaturated look - not sure about the film strip border but it does give it an old fashioned look
