Hi all,

Well Jako is somewhat... distressed having just watched the film 'Lord of war', and now listening to Jeff Buckley, which was played in it. hallelujah to be precise.

I took this shot some time ago, for a photo competition themed 'people and their lifestyle'. I entered a less edited version.

I tried to create a bit more of a darker mood, and also the feeling of being somehow seperated from everything by the high PoV looking down on the blurred mess below that is the Christmas shopping rush. Well it's not too much of a rush this early in the morning but you get point.

PP- Some cropping and cloning, desat, levels, invert diffuse glow, USM, frame.

Hope you like it,
Jako

HelloJalo,
Image really quite made up... Many things to be seen, and a well collected movement.
The two pillars ideally are well placed. Congratulations.
Stephane

Mouvements avant la grande foule de fêtes de fin d'année dans ce gigantesque hall. Le N/B est aussi un bon élément pour faire remarquer l'ensemble de la scène que vous avez photographier
Bon choix et belle photographie

Very nice shot Jako. Good scene. Nice bw tones. i like it...

I love the b&w treatment in this, and it's also a nice pleasing composition. But if you insist on titling the frame at least add the H to the end of through!!

I like the blur from the people rushing around. Good composition and nice choice for black and white.

Ah I see you've fallen under the wing of Jeff Buckley! :) He's a very bittersweet man- it's a pity he passed away so young. And I've watched Lord of War... well over three times if I count correctly, I thought it was a great film- now that doesn't mean it made me happy, but I thought it was... just fantastic.

Anyways, I like this... the framing and what not adds a very dramatic touch to the image. That snow flake up in the air is well... to say it again, bittersweet- I can't really say why I think so... but I just do. I like the angle and the motion within the shot- it portrays people as being blissfully ignorant... which, if I'm correct Lord of War makes us realize. A job well done Jako!

Biance.

Nice image, it shows a intereting perception on the shopping mayhem that is about to, if it has not already hit us!

Joe

Salut Jako,
How did I mist that one!? The POV is exellent and the B&W tones are superb.
