[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Dedicated to Jolanta Jancyzk, who in his own words states about the Morane-Saulnier MS.406:
"Another legendary aircraft, one of my favorite :-)"

Jolanta has uploaded his own version of the aircraft, and can be seen with an excellent description and history on his gallery www.treklens.com/viewphotos.php?l=3&p=528263
(Thanks Jolanta, you've saved me a huge amount of time in research of this particular aircraft)

This shot was taken at the Duxford Warbirds airshow last weekend, and I must admit, on the ground you think "Err, you're kidding aren't you" but once in the air, that all changes.

A remarkably agile aircraft, and despite it's short stubby fuselage and relatively small wing area, can indeed pull a few tricks in aerobatics.

Handheld, panned and fired at the highest end of the 70-200mm Canon lens with polarizing filter fitted.

Aperture priority, 7.1 with 1/250 for prop motion.

Cropped to remove wasted space, slightly sharpened and a little saturation.
Resized, USM in CS4 and uploaded.

Yeah, i tend to agree with Jolanta, it's an ugly looking thing, but fun to watch in the air.

Hope you like it Jo,

regards

Martin

Hello Martin,

Thank you so much!
I really like the aircraft :)
even if the plane wasn't the best construction, I like it.

Magnificent shot! Perfect sharpness, colours and lovely blue, clear sky.
