Great shot of these old birds Martin,
the shutter speed is spot on and the planes are nicely composed in the frame
cheers
Jack
Hi Martin,
A beautiful capture of these vintage aircraft!
Accurate focusing and an adequate shutter speed to pan and aquire a sharp capture with the propellers at full movement!
Excellent lighting and very natural colors.
Well presented.
Good work!

Great work getting these with such fantastic detail and clarity! Excellent weather seems to be the norm for airshows all around the world, no exception here!
Cheers

Love the pun! Not sure it will translate globally, but I appreciated it :-)
Nicely done with both planes in shot and I particularly like the blur and glinting light from the props as well as the perceived tilt of the plane on the right - gives an impression of how these things can get blown about. Nice use of f10 as well.
Good shot!

The double entendre of your title will probably be lost on most - the English connection is fairly essential, I would think - but the shot itself works well, although personally I would be tempted to lighten the upper-left quadrant of the frame to brighten the nearer plane.
Would also be interesting to see how a tilt and a tighter top/bottom crop would work!

Helo, Martin.
This is Beautiful!
A wonderful picture of this beautiful pair of old flying machines. Incredibly sharp and clear and perfectly exposed. A fine sky produces a great background.
Looking at your exif data, however, I see that this was taken at 200mm, so I reckon this was taken with your 70-200mm L f/2.8 IS lens and not your 60mm Macro. Not that that, of course, detracts from your picture.
An interesting note too. Although I appreciate that neither of these machines used the engine, I thought you might like to see this picture of a Bristol Hercules engine taken in the Museum of Flight, East Fortune, near Edinburgh.
Kind Regards,
John.
Hello,
Another magnificent shot!
Perfect sharpness, stunning POV.
