Butcher Bird

A Focke-Wulf 190 AKA the Butcher Bird soars past low and fast for a strafing run at the Duxford Airshow,
The FW190 was the Luftwaffe's answer the the RAF's Spitfire in its debut of 1941.
Like the spitfires, the FW190 was continuously updated throughout it's service during the second world war, and during its debut service in 1941, was in all aspects a far superior aircraft than the MKV Spitfire.
Constant updates on both the spitfires and FW190s kept both warplanes on a relevantly even parity, although the spitfires had a tighter turning radius and marginally better performance at altitude.
This partcualr example is a replica of the Butcher bird, aptly named due to its devastating performance and destructive capabilities with its two wing mounted 20mm canon's which caused havoc when attacking large prey such as the B17s and Lancaster bombers.
Despite being a replica, it's boasted to be almost perfect in its reproduction design, and even the engine has been made to "Sound" like the original.
All in all, an excellent plane to watch, and a real crowd pleaser.
I only managed to get a couple of attempts at taking shots of it on its own , as the plane was either grouped in amongst other machines or too high to capture.
This is one of the few i managed to grab.
Similar to other Duxford uploads, in as much as shutter speed for prop blur, aperture for depth etc.
Handheld and panned, 2x TC fitted
Slightly cropped, USM/Resized.
Cheers
