[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
New Year but the same problems, today there was a survey published by the UN which concluded that the UK was the worst place to be a child The Unicef report looked at 40 indicators including poverty, peer and family relationships, and health. One of the reports authors claimed that one of the reasons was the "dog eat dog" attitude in the UK. It's a long time since I was a child, but I do think that the difference between the have's and have not's is growing. This image is part of the symptoms, some shops come and go, we want everything now and budsinesses open to cater for the latest fad before losing out when the fad changes.

Hi Chris - I like this - a good piece of social commentary in both the note and the image itself. It seems all the more poignant that this was snapped in Historic Chester.

I'm a Brit living abroad and quite frankly I have no desire to return to the UK in the near future. I live somehwere clean, safe and happily multicultural and with two young kids that is important to me.

Nice all round posting, well done and thank for putting this on TL.
