[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Rhino's have sensitive skin, they need to cool off in mud wallows, this also helps to remove skin parasites. A regular wallow usually has a nearby favourite rubbing post. The Rhino's use these to help keep the skin in reasonable condition.

Hello Chris

Haha just yesterday I left a comment for someone saying that photography is about showing people things that they look at but never really see.

So I have never seen a Rhino rump up close and personal.. hmm.. didnt miss much.. great shot though.. I didn't realise their skin was so scaley looking.

TFS and for the interesting notes too.

Hi Chris,

I just love this one! It's amazing that with just a bit of the animal it's so clear what animal it is :) As to the photo: very good sharpness, colours and composition, I can almost feel the texture of the rhino's skin :)

greetings, lavinia
