[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hi,

Here is my contribution to Fridays theme of negative view.

This is the view from the Queen Hotel, in Chester, looking down onto the hotel patio. Strong sunlight was casting shadows from the tables and chairs, which was very abstract in itself.

PP inc, conv to B&W, add layer, fill 50% grey, add noise, blend vivid light. Lasso shadows and increase light to white, inverse and decrease light to grey. Adjust levels, apply USM, add border, resize for TL.

Thanks for visiting, Have a good weekend,

John

Clever PP work Johnny Mag. Looking at it closely it is really well done. I'm quite impressed.
BRAVO!
Janice

Hi John,
I like your image, it is fascinating, has a nice repetitive pattern throughout, but I'm confused.
I've looked at it as a positive, and I can't work out why there is such a strong glow under the chairs.
The shadow doesn't affect the white mortar between the flagstones.
DUH!!! I've just read your notes, I'm having another 'Senior Moment'.
Cheers,
Pete.
