Hi David,
Great lines and architecture , it appears quite similar to Colmar's old buildings in Alsace except that here in Chester they are black and white rather than coloured ,a pretty nice crop !
In existence since 1643 wow , a year after Montreal was founded , the inn has been in buisiness for a long time , it still is , i assume !
TFS David,
Carol

Hello, David.

Despite the great contrasts between the black and white of this old Tudor building, you have managed the exposure superbly: not a mean feat.

The composition is excellent too - again, it is easy to "correct" the converging verticals too much and give a very false appearance, but you have done this just right.

And the sharpness and clarity are just superb.

Fabulous!

Best Wishes,

John.

Eyecatching subject - the black-and-white tones work so well, particularly with the splash of colour from the sign. Trying to see if you've captured a ghostly face at one of the windows, but no glimpse.

This is a good example of a shot that could benefit from some perspective/distort PP. If you brought up the 'grid' in Photoshop you could stretch the upper part of the shot so that all of the vertical architecture was properly aligned with the sides of the frame - creating a far more appealing geometry.
