don't u think she is lovely ?
anyway more focus to her face will be nice shoot !

Hi Ian,
Nice shot. Good use of available light here, it's nice. And has a warm quality to it. Your shot looks good. A centralized composition for portraiture is fine, but, try off centering next time to make the eye movement more dynamic. The soft focus on your wife is fine, as it softens a little bit. But, I think the dof is too high, maybe a more shallow one could've been better to soften the image in the back that seems to distract a little. I was thinking, it would've probably been good just to not have that pic in the background all together and just have the warm wall color in back. Still...nice shot.
Anyhow, I did a small ws for you. I tried recomposing...would've like to have more of the window...but, couldn't go that way so I moved her to the right. And, I also cropped in closer because I think it would've been nicer to have her larger...to get a better look. Lastly, I added a blur for a soft glow effect...see if anything works for you.
Take care.
Richard
