[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hi,
Shot taken yesterday on the descent from the High Stile ridge which overlooks Buttermere village and Crummock Water. The hillside in the background is Grasmore with the Rannerdale Knots in the foreground.
The beauty of the lakes often hides danger. This shot was taken the day after three young men lost their lives by drowning in the nearby lake of Ullswater. A terrible accident. There are no words that can describe the tragedy and loss that three families are coming to terms with. Life is fragile, my prayers are with them.

Wow, thankyou for the background info on the photo, which adds a whole new twist to the look and feel of it. Nice saturation and brightness of colors. Good composition too, though I would consider reducing the overall brightness and perhaps increasing the contrast a tad. I hope the families throw the young men's ashes into a beautiful lake like this....in their memory.

Magnificient landscape and nice saturation and good composition.

The foreground is a little bit too bright and too bright= also noise.
There are two way to deal with that: 1) After, PP = work 2) Before, you take less of the ground and more sky (in this case).
This way you get less light reflexion in your lens by two ways leess area and the angle of the light is not the same.

Very nicely done. I like the balance of color and shades all through. I like the way you framed your composition as it has enough of the sky and reflection, with good wide angle. Well done. Looking forward to seeing other landscape shots
