Hi,
Second in the series from my hike in the lake district at the weekend. This is Greendale Tarn, which nestles between the fells of Seatallen (to the left) and Middle fell (to the right). The top that you can see over the saddle in the middle of the shot is called Haycock.
The stream in the photo I posted yesterday flows from this tarn.
As you can see, the low wintersun is bouncing off the fellside on the left and the lower slopes of Middle Fell are nicely in shadow. Lots of cumulus clouds in the surface of the lake, which was very still, allowing this reflection, even though it was quite windy out of the shelter. I've done quite a lot of shoftening of lines especially the grass in the foreground and the lines of the fellsides in the background to reduce noise.
Hope you like the shot, and the colours of the English Lake District.
Take Care,
John

Hi John,
A beautiful view with really stunning colors. Great control on the exposure considering the huge difference between shadows and highlights. The details are good, but maybe a tad too much sharpened. Great depth and a stunning reflection.
TFS,
Niek

Nice work Good composition, the bit of foreground works well to frame it I like the clear reflections, might be worth trying to adjust some highlight/shadows to bring the shadows up a bit good contrast. rgds Necip.

Hi John,

Like it, I love it. What a wonderful shot you have here, the colors rich and vibrant. The composition is perfect and the POV shows off the reflections. Very well done, TFS.

A superbly colored photo, like a keepsake jewel! The inclusion of the vegetation in the foreground anchors the shot.
Cheers

Nice shot, I like very much the shadows in the reflection of the water as they match perfectly the mountains in the backgrounds and colours are awesome.
