The Scafell Massif
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Hi,
Another image from the series I took whilst walking in Wasdale last weekend.
This is a shot of the Scarfell Massif from the top of Middle Fell.
Scafell Pike is the highest mountain in England at 978meters, and is the peak that is slightly behind the other two that are flanking it, in cloud. The peak to the right in the shot is Scafell which is slightly lower at 964meters. The peak to the left is Lingmell, at 800meters.
The slope in the foreground is the western end of one of my favorites, Yewbarrow (628m.
I think you can get some feel of the scale of Wasdale in this shot, with the majesty of the fells and the deep dark water of the lake of Wastwater.
Hope you like the view!
Another tomorrow,
Take care,
John |

Hi John,
NICE series you have here. The light in the FG is awesome against the clouds/shade in the BG. Well done and TFS Julie
Beautiful, stunning light.
Wow, John, breathtaking picture and nicely compo'd. Definitely sells the tour!
