I just loved the atmosphere created by the steam from this old engine.

great one! I admire atmosphere :) And dof! :) Take care, Ola

excellent composition and POV Andy :)
good details

andy,
beautiful reflections on the train, and very pleasing sharpness in the compo.the curves of the railroad makes good graphics with the train parallel.
regards

Hi Andy, wonderful crisp shot of this steam engine. Love the compo too. Were you hanging out of the train to catch this shot ?

If you want to avoid detoriated text on photographs, it works if you add the text on the resized photo. It makes a considerable difference.

Marleen

Good dynamical composition, soft colours are making this photo very good,
best wishes,
Elena

Excellent POV! You've must have been in a difficult position to take this shot.

Niek

nice pov,Andy, good capture ;)
Vi.

Like the curve of the tracks and the way you have left some space on the right for the train to move into.Exposure and sharpness both good.
I feel the titling is a bit too bold and have done a workshop to illustrate.

Nicely composed shot Andy with the rail lines leading into the shot. Great atmosphere. And a beautiful part of the world full of photographic opportunities.

Hi Andy,

Nice perspective in this beauty. Awesome old steam train caught at the right moment. These things are becoming a thing of the past. Nicely presented here for our pleasure, thank you.

Kindest Regards
Wayne.

Nice composition, Andy! I feel like I am on the oncoming train. The steam is well captured, nice white against that reflects in the train windows. Well done!

days of yore... damn i miss these steam engines, great post and high key on the side of the carriages is super, points later

Good composition. I like the curves in the railway tracks. The steam adds a lot of nostalgia.

ola Andy.
uma foto que nos faz viajar no tempo e nos mostra como estas maquinas eram belas. adoro ver o vapor que as envolve no momento de arrancarem.
obrigado por esta pequena viagem.
Bom trabalho!
Luci.

yes this one is better with all the steam and the atmosphere of coal trains..i have been to some as well...the bluebell..and its an experience to sit there with all the soot flying in the windows...good for the kids :D
the rh rail echoes the movement and shape of the train making the shot more dynamic as your eye gets pulled along
well taken
cheers
geof

I'm not a train fan, but your picture is great. Good point of view, nice atmosphere. Regards, Yvonne
