[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This was taken early in the morning after arriving at my hotel over looking lake Windermere the previous night when it was dark. I didn't realise when I went to bed, how good the view was going to be when I woke up (thanks to my wife for the fantastic birthday treat).

Only an hour later, the water was choppy, and fighter jets where flying overhead on test runs every couple of minutes.

I look forward to going back again soon.......

a very serene shot, the tone is great!, love how u capture the dock & log in.

Hi Chris,
Lovely image! Great composition with the pier leading the eye into the image and I like the pole in the foreground. The colours are beautiful and soft giving a serene atmosphere. TFS

hello Chris,
a lovely tranquil scene with good relections. Only little grumble is that the posted image is too big for my screen so that i can only see it in sections as i scroll. Its good to post big but perhaps not quite so big...(and I am sure I have done this too).
regards
bev

Hi Chris.

I just did a geograhy exam, and one of the questions related to lake windermere and the speed restrictions that are there to preserve the lake and things that live in it.Naturally I was drawn to this photo by it's title, and I like it,especially the composition.

TFS,Aqueous.
