Autumn on Lake Windermere, a serene scene. Windermere is the longest lake in the Lake District National Park. This is the quieter west shore, down the east side there are watersports and other tourist attractions. This side is preferable for me.

Wow would love to have a boat there. You can see real nice Autumn colors in your picture. Also the picture makes you feel very calm. But hey keep those picture for when it's colder, don't want to think about Autumn yet ;)

Hi Jean,
When we were staying in Scotland, the owners of the place were getting ready to depart for Windemere - I can see why.
Beautiful scenery here - great capture of lake's surface, clouds and autumn colours.

Hello Jean,

This is a beautifully composed picture with the soft autumn colours.

The warm colours of the leaves in the FG, contrasting with the blues and greys of the distant hills, aid the perspective.

Perhaps a little more sharpness, around the boats especially, would be helpful.

A real autumn scene alright, misty hills in the background, autumn leaves in the foreground.
Very peaceful, in stark contrast to your "flood" pics. I hope you were'nt affected in any way.
