5th of a series of reflections....this time at Lake Windermere

The Lake District has lots of photographic opportunities ..... depending on your ability and limitations of your camera .... and what you see is often not what you get.

I'm not obsessed with reflections ...I just think they offer another glimpse - a bit oblique - of what you see. The best person to discuss this would be Marek (eMBeer)whose portfolio is outstanding in this subject.

Getting back on course.......

You'd think that lakes and docks would be an ideal breeding ground for intersting pieces of art....but there tends to be so much congestion that decent shots can be obscurred by bad lighting or movement on the quayside.

This image was taken hastily as I was waiting to board a ferry. Quickly grabbing my camera - not even waiting to focus.

The lighting wasn't perfect and clouds were closing in and didn't have a moment to lose ...blue water can quickly turn to mud brown on cloudy days in agitated waters.

Hi Celina,
It is the third time that I look at your picture, it is time that I said that I appreciated it !
Nicely composed, it suggested without showing too much.
I would have add a frame though.
TFS,
Ivan

Hi Celina

You have caught some lovely reflections in the water.
Like the simplicity of the white and black boats and the blue water.

Regards Derek

Hi Celina
Well this one departs from your previous ones and it shows there is still a lot to explore here. I love the effect with the masts. I spot a black sheep among these boats ;)

Hello Celina, I haven't seen you here for some time but then I found this beautiful capture of reflections.
I like the way that the blue starts so dark and gradually gets lighter, and the 'wiggly' lines of the masts are wonderful.
Tfs, regards Jean.

Hi Celina,
It is a special bonus when that quick shot becomes a treasure. The color is special on this one, too--seemingly B&W on blue . . .
Congratulations,
Karen

Hello Celina,

I've always liked these reflection shots and find them very creative.

Good luck!

Richard
