Jon, nice shot with the pier as a lead-in line, bottom right. I think you could have cropped a little more off of the right side without losing anything.
We also have a Windemere Lake in Canada, also surrounded by mountains, as this one appears to be.

My earliest holidays were spent around the southern lake district and it is a beautiful area even in the rain and cloudy weather. It is a beautiful sky and the snow covered hills in the bg are nice. The trees look natural and good to see a little green betwerrn the trees. TFS

not to bad a effort here Jon i agree with Trudy about the crop i possibly would have took a klittle of the sky out as well gave it more a panoramic look but never the less it is a nice warm shot tfs

I like the composition Jon specially the placement of wooden bridge. The light is in your side and works perfectly to the scene. Very sharp and detailed, what a tranquil place you shared us.

Hello Jon, Great spot Lake Windermere, I was there in June last year..and spent 3 nights.

Nice POV and composition here..although I would have clonned out the first post on the right..my eye seems to go to that..nice colours throughout the shot, lovely sky, and I see a sprinkling of snow on the hills.

Nice sharp details and good contrast between the land, water and jetty. The composition is strange though - the leading line of the jetty takes the viewers eye out of the frame to the left, and away from the rest of the picture. There then isn't anything of sufficient contrast to take the eye back to the right of the frame. So whilst its an interesting POV it's not one which makes for a balanced picture.

thanks for visiting my post and thanks for the critique too.
After reading your intro, now tht I see you shots are excellent and splendid. They are very beautiful and I notice that you perspectives are indeed brilliantly depicted.
You have shown a good scene of this famous place nd actually you have enhanced it very well.
The calm water, beautiful trees and the blue house is jut another great element you add to give this shot an outstanding one.
Really captivatinf scenery.

I think that your composition is excellent. My eye follows the pier right into the picture. Nice panorama. I like the way you have balanced the water and the sky. Very fine detail.
