[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This shot came from the archives It was taken on my Pentax K1000 and was originally on slide film but got scanned to computer. This is why the quality may not be what it should be. It was taken in the lake district man years but I cannot remember exactly when or where. I think it may be the start of Thirlmere. I am sure I was on my motorbike at the time and this came me more freedom to stop in places that a car could not.
Thanks for viewing

Bonjour David.
Le cadrage carré convient parfaitement à cette image.
Les couleurs un peu ternes sont aussi bien adaptées à cette composition qui montre qu’il n’y a pas besoin de soleil pour faire de belle photo. Félicitation.
Bonne journée.
Urs

Hi David
For a scanned photo you got great results.
This has a somber moody look to it and looking at the grasses am guessing it was either spring or fall, which ever it gives a feeling that its cold.
Dot

Hi David,

This turned out very well for a scan. The shot is well composed with the grasses in the fg and the peaks and valleys in the distance. A nice peaceful scene. TFS

Best regards,
Werner

Hello David,

The Lakes is one of my most favourite places!
Every time I go, I chastise myself about not visiting more frequently!
I love the view up the lake; the grass and debris provide fine f/g interest. The hills break nicely to forn an attractive valley, situated in a good off-centre position.

The colours, for me, seem just a little flat.
I hope you don't mind but I have done a w/s which, I hope, lifts them a little.

Have a good day,
Bev :-)

Sorry, David, the program keeps refusing to load the w/s. Says it is not a j/peg.
Perhaps will try later!

dear David,
the atmosphere is very nice in this wonderful view.
width and depth are excellent and colors are settled.
but the sky looks a little over exposure against fore dark portion, maybe it is caused by the scanned image.
anyway I like this quiet perspective of the beautiful river to lake.
thank you,
Akihisa
