[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This shot is probably older than some contributors to TL It was taken when our car stopped during its ascent of one of the steepest climbs in lakeland. My father was driving and after the car had a rest we finally made it over the top. Of course I was pleased to have stopped with such a wonderful view and I took this shot. I believe my camera was an inexpensive instamatic with 3 settings of sunny, partial cloudy and overcast. It was taken on transparency film and the slide was in square format typical of the instamatic. It was later scanned to computer.

Worth the climb tho - nice view with a great shot, the scan from a slide is great, far better than a photograph, what scanning system are you using? TFS

Hi David,

I'm in the same boat, a lot of my photos are probably older than most TL members. This is a good shot, with an excellent POV. As you know, I'm learning a lot about the pp work needed for scans. Nice job on this!

Hi David,
Very good quality shot considering how long ago it was taken, and the fact it was scanned. Could almost swear it was taken recently if it wasn't for the old car rounding the corner, lol. Interesting purplish hues in the BG, makes the green trees in the FG stand out more. I hope I still have all of my shots in another 30-years. Great work.
