Hello everyone, another view from our visit to Renishaw but this time from the more formal gardens.
Renishaw Hall has a 300 acre park, which is open to the public to enjoy.Eight acres of this, is "the most important Italianate gardens in England".

The gardens were designed by Sir George Sitwell,100 years ago and based on his many visits to[and great passion for] Italy.
He came back to his Derbyshire house with its 19 century wilderness garden, with ideas and the means for its complete transformation.

I loved the shapes of these yew trees which have been tamed by frequent cutting, but still want to grow their own way!
Although the day we visited was quite bright, the blue sky was sorely missed. That would have been the 'icing on the cake'.

Thanks for your visit.

Hello Jean,

What a fantastic texture and shape these neatly, and newly clipped yews have. I wish my garden hedge looked like that - real modern art!

Your sharp and clear image has captured the way light falls on their different surfaces so well.

Lovely soft colours, and a great sense of perspective in your composition.

Regards,

Peter.

Hello Jean,

I love how your shot recedes in natural layers: the grass, the hedges, the trees.
Although there isn't a lot of strong light, the colour tones of green are quite amazing! The shadows really explain the contours of the bushes!
The white bush in the f/g balances the white trees at the opposite corner very well.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Hi Jean

A wonderful Spring shot from the Italian garden in Renishaw, with good sharpness & colour. Good repetition of the unusually shaped rocks & hedges. Tfs!

hi Jean

The layout of the garden concept was nicely done with nicely cured lawn. At first look, I thought the walls were made of stone and grown over by plants, but they are really shrubs cut to shape! Really amazing maintenance work.

Hi Jean
The different shapes of the well manicured cedars are very impressive with just the right amount of shadows.

The colored trees in the background make up for the missing blue sky and the addition of the flowering tree, makes it a good shot.

If you are using Photoshop there is a tutorial video available for changing a white sky to one of your choice. Its very easy, and done in such a short time you will wonder why you never did this before. Just write me if it interests you.
