February seems a little early to be seeing Primroses!
Maybe it is a sign of Global warming? Who knows?
On a walk up the Plym valley,we came upon a whole bank of primroses already in full flower. They are such pretty flowers; their plants cling on in the most unexpected places. But what a delight to see them after the winter.
Primroses such as these are found in the wild;plants varying in colour will be found in gardens and parks, but for me you can't beat seeing them where nature intended.
Thanks for looking. |

Hi Jean,
well spotted, it does seem a bit early for these to be out! I like this, the colours are good and I like the detail. Possibly the flower nearest the camera is slightly overexposed, but I don't think it matters that much.
Cheers, John.
Hi Jean,
Lovely flower and beautiful colors and sharpness, excellent POV. and well presented and composed, Lovely details , in Quebec we have a lot of snow not flower now only in may;)
well done.
Michel
Hi Jean, my bluebells are shooting, the older residents say it is a sign of a long and cold winter. We don't get primroses in teh wild here but my Mother had some of the more yellow ones growing in a shady part of her garden. Well composed, some OE but still good colour and detail. TFS,
David
