Hello everyone,a place to sit down after wandering round the grounds of Saltram House, near Plymouth.
The house was built nearly 300 years ago and this folly stands in a secluded part of the grounds where the ladies of the house might have taken a rest.
They would have enjoyed views across the Plym estuary, but now it is mainly trees and woodland that can be seen.

I had a go at vignetting as a way of suggesting age,has it worked?
Thanks for looking and enjoy the rest of your day.

Very pretty , and excellent detail. Good textures and color. TFS

Hello Jean,

Good details of contrasting textures on this folly, which does look aged.
The pathway beyond the building ensures that the viewer explores all the area and does not rest after seeing the main focal point.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Hi Jean, yes I would say it worked, whatever you did. Great colors and textures in the old structure. Thanks, Dave

Hello Jean,
This is a high quality image, it has a rustic feel from the vegetation surrounding it. Indeed the house looks secluded, the columns are massive and nicely adorn the scene. Love the even lighting from what appears to be a cloudy condition. Best regards.
