Hello everyone, this building stands at an angle to the rest of the buildings on the street, and whenever I see it,[I don't know why,] I always think what an attractive building it is.
This is at one end of the Barbican in Plymouth. The Barbican is right next to Sutton Harbour, and is a very old part of the city.

I have tried to discover some history about the building, but have come up with a blank. At present, part of the ground floor is an ice cream parlour, you can see the adverts on the walls.

Lots of Plymouth was destroyed during the second World War, but parts of the Barbican escaped the worst, thank goodness.

Thanks for looking.

Not much PP work: saturation +4,adjusted midtone levels to 0.95,cropped, applied unsharp mask, added 2 borders and resized.

Hello Jean,

A fine, crisp shot of this delightful, old building.
You have controlled the light well; no oe on these white walls despite the sunlight.
The people add interest and, with the obligatory red clothing, a splash of colour.
Can that sky really be England's?

I think I would have cloned out the straggling tape.
Why is it that unpleasant evidence of modern culture pops up with such regularity!

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

I agree that it's a very attractive old building and very unique to what I'm surrounded by. Very good lighting, color and detail and a nice pov. TFS

dear Jean,
a cheerful shot of the attractive house.
I like its roof, old and tasteful color can be seen on it.
and new panels of colorful ice cream make nice contrast with the old roof and wall(maybe it was painted lately).
it looks a very fine hot day for wonderful ice cream time.
the red tall man and the a little fatty man are humorous for this house.
thank you,
Akihisa
